Bargaining in Brief: Wages and Finances Re-Cap
Our most recent Bargaining in Brief was held on Wednesday, May 29. The session focused on wages and university finances. Hayg Oshagan covered key info from the Bunsis report and spoke about the university's strong financial position with solid cash reserves.
The wage demand was also introduced. Pramod Khosla spoke about how across-the-board raises, when applied over time, increase salary differences and cause a wider spread between lower earners and higher earners. He introduced a differential model for distributing salary adjustments, which helps correct salary differences over time.
