Our members belong to AAUP-AFT Local 6075. We are affiliated with the American Association of University Professors (AAUP), the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), AFT Michigan, and the AFL-CIO. WAU also participates in the WSU Coalition of Unions.
Our next organizing fellows training will be Friday, February 6th from 9:30-1 in-person. This training is an opportunity for you to fight for better working conditions unit-by-unit in solidarity with your colleagues.
Our emergency aid supports students impacted by monetary hardships, which are often sudden and unforeseen, including students who may not be able to access financial aid.
Recent national studies show that nearly 3 out of every 5 students experience basic needs insecurity and struggle to have access to food, shelter, childcare, internet services, or other things they need for daily living. And when students tell us what they need, we believe them.
