Welcome to the new academic year & thank you for your work. To kick off the semester, we have a quick request for you. Each year, the Teaching Faculty Committee (TFC) hosts a BBQ/picnic for any faculty & academic staff who want to join (not just teaching faculty). We would appreciate your sharing the email with your departments/divisions. If you could include any NEW faculty, that would be perfect—this is a great event to welcome them! 🙂 Much appreciation, TFC

Join us for a day of connecting, food, and sunshine!

The teaching faculty committee with our Union is hosting a back-to-school BBQ for all Wayne Academic Union members on August 25 from 3 pm - 6 pm at shelter # 17 on Belle Isle. The TFC will provide hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, and light snacks. This event is great for meeting others from across campus and connecting with your peers!

This is a family-friendly event, so feel free to bring your partners and children. Attendees can bring a dish or drinks to pass and can bring board games, lawn games, and more!
