You can now apply for the AAUP-AFT 6075 Childcare Subsidy program, supplementing costs for childcare (for children pre-first grade) accrued between January and June 2023. The application period will close Monday July 31, 2023 at 11:59pm.

To apply, please follow these prompts. After submission, email copies of your proofs of payment to office@aaupaft.org. Acceptable proofs of payment include: receipts, invoices or evidence of bank transfer, and must reflect the licensed childcare provider included in the application. Please note this subsidy is considered taxable income.

This program was won during the 2021 contract negotiations, when costs of adequate childcare became untenable for Faculty and Academic Staff at Wayne. While not all childcare costs can be subsidized, this program can provide some relief for this essential service.
