Our first bargaining session will take place on March 5 and there is a lot at stake. Sign the Open Letter from Wayne Academic Union to stand in solidarity with your faculty and academic staff colleagues for a strong contract. We need you to help us send a powerful opening message of unity and resolve to the Board of Governors, the administration, and the Wayne State community. We will be gathering signatures over the next three weeks and will deliver this to the Board of Governors on March 6.

Over the last several years our wages have not kept up with the pace of inflation and we must make up a lot of ground. Since 2021, our salaries only increased on average 4.25% – at a maximum, if we received full selective salary – and meanwhile the cost of living has gone up 12%. Our talented bargaining team will propose strong language and negotiate to win big for the 1600+ faculty and academic staff at WSU, and their best support is a united and organized membership behind them.
